Mohamed Basha, born in India and raised in Vermont, is a licensed Registered Nurse (RN) and the founder and CEO of TLC Nursing, a leading provider of travel healthcare staffing service provider. His journey from an immigrant to a healthcare leader in one of the "whitest states in America" has greatly shaped his perspective, fostering a deep-seated commitment to diversity, inclusion, and equitable care.
Mohamed attended Burlington High School, followed by the Community College of Vermont, the University of Vermont, and Castleton University. These educational experiences, combined with his nursing background, laid the foundation for his establishment of TLC Nursing. Under Mohamed's leadership, TLC Nursing has become known as the company that truly prioritizes the well-being of its patients and staff. TLC Nursing has also grown to serve communities nationwide and empower countless healthcare professionals.
In addition to his responsibilities at TLC Nursing, Mohamed is actively involved in various non-profit and B-Corp boards. He serves as a Director of Mascoma Bank and is the Board President of the non-profit Cathedral Square Corporation. Moreover, his work extends to governmental healthcare, having been appointed to the Vermont Governor's Commission on Alzheimer's and Dementia. He works closely with healthcare leaders in both the government and private sectors to ensure continuity of care delivery across all sectors of healthcare.
