Gina Carbino is the current Statewide Forensic Nurse Coordinator at South Carolina Victim Assistance Network. She served on board of directors for the Rape Crisis Center of Horry and Georgetown County for 4 years. She has practiced clinically at the bedside in emergency nursing and forensics for 14 years. Gina is a certified adult adolescent sexual assault nurse examiner. She also holds a Bachelors degree in Biochemistry. She lectures at professional conferences at a national level and has accepted international awards from the Emergency Nurses Association, the Board of Certification for Emergency Nursing (BCEN), and the International Association of Forensic Nursing (IAFN). She holds multiple certifications from the BCEN, the American Association of Critical Care Nurses and the IAFN. Her passions include forensics, resuscitation, and electrophysiology.
