Description

The in-person combined BLS / ACLS HeartCode Skills Session is a structured, hands-on evaluation conducted by AHA-certified Instructors to ensure competency, confidence, and adherence to current American Heart Association guidelines.

-Students are divided into small skills groups
-One dedicated AHA Instructor per group provides individualized instruction, coaching, and skills evaluation
-All skills are performed using AHA-approved equipment and current AHA skills testing checklists
-Students must successfully demonstrate all required skills to receive AHA BLS and ACLS Provider eCards

Typical Skills Session Timeframes:
BLS Accelerated Skills Session: Approximately 30 min
(Includes in-person skills testing and the required BLS written exam. BLS HeartCode is not required when completing an advanced HeartCode course such as ACLS.)
ACLS HeartCode Skills Session: Approximately 1.5 hours

Students are expected to arrive prepared, having completed the online ACLS HeartCode portion and reviewed all required AHA skills sheets prior to the session to ensure timely completion. In this combined course, completion of the online BLS Heartcode is not required.
