Description

The in-person PALS HeartCode Skills Session is a structured, hands-on evaluation conducted by AHA-certified Instructors to ensure competency, confidence, and adherence to current American Heart Association guidelines.

-Students are divided into small skills groups
-One dedicated AHA Instructor per group for individualized instruction, coaching, and skills evaluation
-All skills are performed using AHA-approved equipment and current AHA skills testing checklists
-Students must successfully demonstrate all required skills to receive an AHA ACLS Provider eCard

PALS HeartCode – Skills Session Includes
Students will be evaluated on pediatric-specific skills and scenarios, including:
-Child and Infant CPR Skills Testing
-Management of respiratory emergencies
-Intraosseous (IO) access

Must perform as Team Leader for:
-One cardiac core case testing scenario
-One respiratory or shock core case testing scenario
