This presentation will explore strategies for becoming a highly marketable home health travel clinician (including nurses, physical therapists, occupational therapists, and speech-language pathologists). Attendees will gain practical guidance on interviewing successfully for home health travel positions. The session will provide an overview of maintaining compliance with Medicare regulations and completing OASIS assessments accurately, with emphasis on proper scoring of functional measures. Participants will also develop a foundational understanding of the business of home health, including reimbursement models and the impact that OASIS scoring has on reimbursement. Best-practice approaches to patient care in the home setting will be discussed, along with an examination of the advantages of home health as a practice setting and the key personality traits and professional skills that contribute to success as a home health clinician.
