Jeff has worked as a Registered Nurse for over 30 years in clinical areas as varied as the intensive care unit, medical/surgical units and the emergency department as well as working as a flight nurse and cruise ship nurse. Jeff's roles in nursing span from bedside nursing through nursing management and administration to trauma coordinator, nursing educator, nursing consultant and state surveyor. Jeff was the President of the Emergency Nurses Association (ENA) in 2018, served as President of the Nursing Organizational Alliance in 2020 and 2021 and served as Chairman of the ENA Foundation in 2022. Jeff is also a well-known speaker and author, having authored more than 80 books and has been editor or contributor to numerous others as well as being published in multiple journals and magazines. Jeff has spoken at more than 500 conferences in all 50 states and on six of the seven continents.
